DRACONIA KEEP where Magic and Dreams Become Reality

She's HERE!!!!
Red Prairie Justina (Castle Hill Rob x Lummas Beauty III)
Finally, she's here. Doug's Dales Pony filly arrived this past weekend looking splendid after her 2600 mile trip from Oregon to Ohio. She is a black, section A Dales Pony, a rare British Breed (click here for more information on Dales Ponies.)
Justina is even lovelier than we'd hoped. Her temperament is fun, gentle, kind but inquisitive and desires to please. She has made herself at home as though she has always belonged here.
And, indeed, she has. Even her name, "Justina" seems so appropriate for a farm with Dales and *Morgans*. She was named by her breeder's grandson named Justin.
For now, Justina will grow up within our herd, and we plan on promoting her , and continuing the efforts to save this endangered pony breed.
We love her already, and we thank Steve and Marian Barker of Blooming Dales Pony Farm (www.dalespony.com) for allowing us to welcome her into our lives. She is loved already here at Draconia Keep.
These pictures are fuzzy because it was getting dark. We will get new and better ones shortly.
What Matters
As I listen to the Munchkins’ welcome
The laughter gurgles inside me like magma
Waiting to mate with the sky,
I try to dream of the yellow brick road
To take me to brains, courage and home.
I dance naked in front of the castle doors
Forget Toto’s warnings
And never learn
The walls smell of mildew and shame
Because the Wizard hides.
I pretend to believe in the long way home
While I throw water on the witch,.
But the Lion can’t look me in the eye.
We both know that sometimes being
Alive is enough to know
There’s no place like home.
