DRACONIA KEEP where Magic and Dreams Become Reality

Finding myself blank
This Morning: I'm still trying to catch up on my rest, and I woke up with a nasty headache and sore throat. All day I've tried to get motivated, but nothing seems work. So I've spent the day reading, avoiding and longing to watch the Barbara Walters's interview with Terri Irwin that aired last night. Avoiding because I don't want to think of losing my husband and what I would do in that circumstance, and longing because I want to know that she will be all right. That if I were in her shoes that I would be strong enough to go on.
Sometime this evening I'll watch it. Alone. So when I cry no one will see me.
Simply Morgan: Even though my "writing" brain has been blank all day, I have been working on my next article for Simply Morgan Magazine. I am the Part Morgan Editor, and I am always looking for article ideas for part Morgans. If you have a part Morgan that you would like featured, please send me an e-mail at tori@draconiakeep.com, and I will work with you on getting your horses in the Part Morgan column!
No Pizzas in a Cow: My son said this line yesterday, and I'm trying to figure out what it means. Have any ideas? If you do, e-mail me at tori@draconiakeep.com . It's amazing how enigmatic a two year old boy can be!
Because Halloween is around the corner (Yes, don't deny it!), I wrote a poem in what I hope is first of a series of poems. We'll see how they turn out... .
During My Final Eclipse
To the melody
of distant sirens
and birds’ laughter
I watch,
come when I’m called
and take the pills as ordered.
Then the sun
Is covered
By indifference;
I scream
Through the hollow halls
And obscured haze.
Now I see my fantasies
through bars on dirty
windowpanes
Finally, I know
I can imagine
the pleasure
of valediction.
