DRACONIA KEEP where Magic and Dreams Become Reality
September 21, 2006
I continue my thoughts and prayers for Bindi and Terri and little Bob... .
I am so thankful that Little Abby (Abigale "Abby" Lynn Woods) has been found safe and is with her family. I am anxious to see the reason *why* a woman would steal a baby, but it seems that she'd just miscarried her own. Doug and I *almost* lost Aleyna at birth, but to actually have to say goodbye. I can't imagine what that would do to you... .

OKC: I can't wait to see everyone again!! To meet again my friends from online, but also to meet new people and put faces to the names I read all the time. If you are going and you want to meet, please drop me a line at tori@draconiakeep.com, and we will get together. Unfortunately, I'm going to only be there Saturday, October 7, and Sunday, October 8, so my time will be very limited. I will be there with my best friend, Monica trapp, of Hickory Ridge Miniatures, who raises National Champion Miniature Horses.
Mikyla is going to be working with Rosie (UDM Maxicali Rose) this afternoon after school. They are becoming quite the pair! Ky is working on keeping Rosie collected , and Rosie's working on keeping Ky's rhythm. (I will try to get some good pictures of them tonight--Ky is upset with me that there are no pictures of Rosie on the website! <G>)
Aleyna is *finally* getting over her fear of horses. Last fall we tried a horse who turned out to not be as ready for little ones as we'd thought, and Aleyna was thrown. She's been nervous ever since about riding, but we bought her a hackney/mini cross pony, and she's begging to ride now. <G> She is riding around the pastures again, and enjoying grooming, walking, and just being with her horse.
It seemed to take forever, but Aleyna's doing fine now.
Of course, Lou Bug (our two year old, Lance), wants to ride too. I don't think it will be long before he is riding by himself. He's the one we're going to have to watch. <G> We put him on Sweetie (Sweet Revenge), our 23 year old POA mare. She is the daughter of a mare we had here, and we just love her to pieces. She is technically for sale, but I can't imagine letting her go.
And, speaking of Lou...
Crayons
Lance fills the paper with lime green snakes and yellow skies,
horses in grass green and an orange daddy who lies
underneath a violet tree in a world adults can’t see
anymore. “C’mon, Mommy!’ he pleas
for me to understand and points at the paper—all the clues
are there for me in a language he wrote in cobalt blue.
I try, but I can only see the reflection of the mirth
he enjoys every day, a gift Spirit gave him at birth,
but when will he lose it? When will it disappear?
It’s bound to go, you know, and how soon I fear,
how sad that will be, some of the light, clear and plain,
and with it gone, nothing will be the same.
In the colors are the answers I seek
And only through his eyes, can I peek….
