DRACONIA KEEP where Magic and Dreams Become Reality

First: I must apologize for being away from the blog for the last week. Some medical things came up for me, and I'm back on track now. <G> Thank you sooo much for the e-mails, cards and get-well wishes. They meant the world to me.

Second: Last night was great! Several years ago when we were going to purchase our first mare, I looked at two mares: PL Touched by an Angel and Winning Ways Princess Lea. Because of money, primarily, I purchased PL Touched by an Angel (Cookie). I have always adored Cookie, and she's easily my favorite mare.

Cookie is easily the smoothest horse I have to ride...I love riding her, just like a rocking chair. She's beautifully conformed, a fantastic mom (she's given me a grey (now in Canada) and a grulla (going to Georgia)--both fillies!!), and just a doll to have here.

But I never forgot Lea. For years I just missed her when she'd been sold--through no fault of her own--until finally my friend Sherri Andrews was selling her.

Finally, Lea was in my barn, and I made a fantastic friend--the only problem is that she lives 11 hours away. Thank goodness for the modern telephone!! <G>

But it thrilled me to finally be able to ride Lea. She tested Doug, then me and finally Mikyla, each of us told her "what for", and she capitulated with no qualms.

Lea makes beautiful babies--we have a breathtaking sabino chestnut filly available for purchase. We named her Draconia Gloriana Rose. And she is finally here. What more could we ask for? <G>

I heard this line today...and I can't help but try to use it. I'm not done, but we'll see what happens.

I deleted myself in error,

--Our newborn babies, the death of my mother

and the comfort of my husband's arm

as I fall asleep--

then I held on to the tide

and I came back again.
