Temperament:

"Pepper" has the sweetest, most laid back personality. Nothing fazes her, and she keeps coming back for more. We are *thrilled* to be retaining this filly for our mare band to replace her dam when that unfortunate time comes.

In the beginning:

The e-mail I posted the morning of her birth...

In my 36 years, I've been blessed by many things...a loving family, a fulfilling education and a fantastic husband and three beautiful children and many, many other things...

But still I prayed for a miracle. I wanted my Mandy, Winning Ways Comanda (Whitmorr Grandcomand x Whitmorr AmandaForce) to have a foal. But the vet said it would take a miracle, and short of that, we'd never get her in foal.
We tried anyway, and she did by MSMF The Brass Ring, a buckskin sabino stallion. And I prayed for one more thing. I asked for a filly to replace her...

Then this morning at 4 am, she presented us with an absolutely gorgeous buckskin filly with only a backward moon on her forehead.

And she is the tiniest thing you've ever seen!!! (which, of course, is fine with me!!)

We've named her

Draconia Gaelic Blessing

Our first foal this year was named after Elizabeth I, and Elizabeth is my mother's and my grandmother's first names. My grandmother's middle name is Gaynelle (hard "G"). So...in a play on words, Gaelic is "Gay" (as in *happy*!!)

And, of course, she is just one of my many blessings.

Her bloodlines from her dam include Whitmorr Grandcomand (I Will Command (Waseeka's in Command x Trophy's Corrigan{x Trophy}) x Whitmorr Mademoisell (Kane's High Society x Green Meads Annette) x Whitmorr AmandaForce (Magnum Force [Waseeka's Killarney x Whitmorr Mademoisell) x UVM Ruby {UVM Flash x UVM Dutchess {Tutor x Sunny}]).

Her bloodlines from her sire include Sail on High Command (Sail on Command [Mad River Sailor] x Morgana Justina (Funquest and Devan) x Amberfields Coyote Sue (Springtown Champagne x Mancunian Principia (who goes back to Kingston and Archie O).
Our Gaelic Blessing's barn name is Pepper. Why? you ask. Because Mandy was unsure (she was a 17 yo maiden mare and very snorty!) about the baby, so Doug got the idea to put the peppermint candy *on* the baby. (Mandy would do *anything* for candy!) Once she licked the candy, she decided if the baby if gave her candy, she would like her!! <G>
Needless to say, she loves her regardless now, but "Pepper" stuck!! <G>

And the BIGGEST blessing of the day?
Doug said, "Happy Mother's Day!!!"

I don't have to even put a price tag on her. SHE'S MINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
